HARD WORK PAYS OFF

My sisters and I have been working hard for almost a week now with only one day of rest. We've been cleaning, painting, organizing, DIY-ing all around the house non-stop (except for that one rest day) and it's starting to feel like we're on a race with time and we are barely keeping it together. Basically, we're trying to get all things done before my parents gets back from their vacation and we only have three days to be exact from the day I am writing this, so here we are hustling.
Usually I would say "I hope that they (parents) approve" or something like "I wish they would like it and appreciate it". Well duh obviously they're gonna appreciate it, it's like their fundamental job as a parent right?
Kidding aside, instead of dwelling on your parents' or anyone's approval rating of the things that you do, just stop and look at what you did. Do you feel accomplished? Do you feel proud? Do you feel like you gave your all? If you answered "yes" to all of those then that's enough.
Do not depend on what other people will say or think.
Ever heard of "You can't please everyone"? So do things for yourself instead. Do the things that make you feel good about yourself, about life and about others. Just always remember to never ever step on other people's toes, it will not make you any better. Okay?
Hard work always pays off when you do it for the right reasons.

P.S. My pinky is not nag-iinarte nor is it injured, it is naturally awkward that way.
